Pest Control
Toronto Film Schools 2021 Capstone, Pest Control, Made by Isolation Studios. This is a FPS tower defense game. Made over a span of six months in a team of around 15 people. Players can choose 3 different characters each with their own unique abilities and personalities. Players have to fend off incoming waves of alien bugs from destroying “the core” by using numerous guns and traps each with their own unique traits and abilities! Brace yourself!
I helped on several aspects in this game, mainly weapons and AI enemies. Also a few UX aspects like damage indicators, technical art, bullet decals and more!

Key Features
Character Selection
Pest Control has three fully playable unique characters each with their own abilities and fun personalities. Each very different from the last, giving our players a great opportunity to play how they want to play. The abilities range from portal teleportation, summoning black holes, creating frigid blizzards, Kamikaze drones, sentry turrets and more!
The Shop
The main hub for players to buy and sell weapons and traps. Players earn Energy, our currency, from defeating enemies and completing waves. Players can come to the shop to spend their Energy. You can buy classic weapons like; pistols, Assault Rifles, Grenade Launchers, or our unique Alien weapons like the Charge Rifle or Shock Rifle. Each gun comes with an Alternate Fire, these range from shotguns to bouncy grenades, poison clouds, and shock explosions! Also players can buy awesome traps like turrets, Chain lightning, and laser traps to help aid them in defending the core.
